As a Logan Township resident, since October of 1986, I am so very proud to be working in my home town, for a school district that is hats off to others! In addition to Mrs. Teter, our district veteran therapist, I also provide speech and language therapy within both an integrative in-class and pull-out service model to address communication difficulties in the areas of articulation, language, voice and fluency skills. I became a staff member in September of 2001 when the Center Square School (CSS) first opened. I spend the majority of my week servicing this district’s younger population at the CSS, with a small caseload of students at the Logan Township Elementary School. I began my career in the Philadelphia Public School District years ago, making a career change for eleven years to be a full time mother of three. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Education, with a concentration in Speech Pathology, and a Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania. I additionally hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association. I have accumulated numerous years, working in a variety of therapeutic settings, with most of my experience being with children in school environments. Many of this district’s residents may recognize me from the community! I presently enjoy being a lector and Eucharistic minister at St. Clare of Assisi Church (old St. Joseph), Swedesboro, New Jersey and have also taught religious education classes (CCD) in the past. I additionally work, part-time, as an independent consultant servicing the feeding and communication needs of the birth to 3 year old population, in family homes and daycare/preschool centers, in both Gloucester and Salem Counties, a service provided through the Salem County Special Services School District. In addition to a rewarding and full-filling professional career, I most enjoy spending time with my retired husband, Joe, my three adult children, Joey, Caitlin and Lauren and my son-in-law, Carlos. On Saint Patick"s day 2010, we welcomed our first grandchild, Sofia, to the family. Spending time with extended family members and friends, traveling, going out to dinner, vacationing at the beach, taking a walk, working in the yard and being active in church ministries are only some of my preferred free-time loves. Professionally, I always welcome the opportunity to solve new and challenging communication difficulties and work to maximize each child’s communication potential so that he/she can be a productive member of society, reaching his/her individual long-term goals. I welcome your participation in your child’s education and the opportunity to work as a team! Please feel free to contact me should you have any concerns regarding your child’s communication skills. Emailing is my preferred means of communication; however, phone calls are always welcomed! 467-5133 (extension 627) Last Modified on September 12, 2012
